Ministries at Calvary UMC

Worship is at 8:30 and 11:00 on Sundays.  Children’s church is at 11:00.

Children’s Choir starts in September for those who are in 2nd grade and up.  The group meets Sundays at 9:45am in Memorial Hall.  Children are encouraged to participate, even if they can’t make an every week commitment.  Melody Makers, a music program for birth through 2nd grade is from 9:45-10:45 each week.

Youth Handbell choir is for those students in Middle school and up.   The choir meets Sundays at 12:15 in Memorial Hall.

Adult Choir meets on Thursday night at 8:00.  Handbell Choir meets at 7:30.

An “Occasional Choir” sings at our 8:30 service.  Practice is usually the week before they sing in worship.  For more information, contact the church office at admin@calmeth.org.

Sunday school classes for adults and children meet at 9:45 at Calvary every week.  Sunday school for children is also offered during our 8:30 worship.

Youth Group meets monthly.  Contact Beth for more information.

Once every other month, we offer Parent’s Afternoon Out for the community at a nominal fee from 10-2 or 4-8pm. To register, please contact Beth Posey at bposey@comcast.net

An on-line book discussion group poses a question weekly, which the group responds to based on the book we are reading.  If you would like more information, please contact Beth at bposey@comcast.net

Once a month, our Men’s Group hosts a Pancake Breakfast on the first Saturday of the month from 8-10.  Cost is minimal for the pancakes, and all proceeds go to missions.

Things you can collect at home and bring for distribution at Calvary:  Ink cartridges and old cell phones (benefits the preschool);  Religious literature (delivered to the jails);  Non-perishable food on the first Sunday of the month for the AFAC food bank.
